By the way I have just opened up a new companion store called Pastiche Poster Place. Take a second to browse some of the posters I have collected over the last few years. You may find an image that will catch your eye and connect with you. I hope you will be pleasantly surprised. At the very least you will be more aware of the variety images that I have at my finger tips. Brent Unrau
Artist Bio
A delicate line of opposites in balance.
Creating a calm, dreamlike sense of place, the beauty of nature is bold, changing and delicate. We co-exist with nature, building our structures on delicate layers. Shelley Hall uses multiple layers, beginning with pencil and charcoal drawings and eventually building up translucent layers of paint, creating a depth of work.
There is a distinct separateness in the work of Shelley Hall, creating a division of space, and a sense of order. The black and white landscapes coexist next to the bold, artificial expanse of colour. Subtle and bold, natural and artificial, mutual and vibrant.
Shelley Hall has been exhibiting and selling her paintings in Galleries and non-profit arts organizations since 1993, including Solo and group exhibitions. Her work is included in numerous private and public collections throughout the United States.
In 2006 Shelley opened the Shelley Hall Fine Art Gallery in Bend Oregon, specializing in contemporary art by Pacific Northwest artist. She became an accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers and now focuses on Art Appraisals and her own art.
The traditional white weathered window frame with the strong complimentary colours make a great combination. It is neat to see how they play off each other.
