Welcome to Pastiche Poster Place. This is a complimentary store that works in tandem with my main store Pastiche Art. Over time I have built up a good stock of quality posters. Some of these posters are waiting for an appropriate window frame (size and look) an others are simply waiting to be framed with old fence wood. With this store you can choose to purchase a poster as is, my prices are very competitive with the main line companies, or you can contact me to be more proactive in finding a window frame or making a fence wood frame for a particular poster that you like. This way you get to choose. I will simply get back in touch with you regarding the added cost (beyond the price of the print) to have it framed the way you want. So have fun choosing. All posters will be charged a flat 10% handling and shipping fee. Thank you.

" Shore House " by Zhen-Haun Lu

Artist Bio:
Born in Shanghai, China in 1950, Zhen-Huan Lu obtained his bachelor degree from the Department of Scenic Design at the Shanghai Theater College, where he was later appointed as an assistant professor in both painting and scenic design in the graduate school. Since then, his paintings have been displayed in many other galleries in the United States and have met widespread acclaim.

Why did Lu's paintings evoke such an enthusiastic response from Americans? His paintings represent scenes we are familiar with, yet they are scenes that are fresh and strange to us. As a stranger and newcomer, Lu is sensitive to the sights that the native Americans usually turn a blind eye to. People get the mixed sense of familiarity and freshness not only from the subject matter Lu presents in his paintings, but also from the techniques he employs in his expression.

As stated in The Lively Arts, "Mr. Lu's art is unique; a marriage of European realism French impressionism and traditional Chinese paintings." Through skillful handling of color and composition, Lu brings into his paintings the poetic flavor which sprouts from his personal experiences of the scenery.
